DépasseToi exists to help French-speaking youth aged 15 to 30 develop and strengthen their professional and personal skills. The program’s mission is to provide customized tools and resources to address the challenges and barriers faced by youth.
To be eligible, youth must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or refugees, and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
DépasseToi is an initiative of the Fédération de la jeunesse canadienne-française serving official language minority communities and is funded by the Government of Canada through Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) under the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS).
Serving Skills Development
We offer a framework based on three components:
- Training: Online and on-site training on a variety of employment-related topics.
- Financial support: to provide better access to professional development opportunities
- Quality jobs: in French, in official language minority communities.
Serving diversity
DépasseToi is designed for French-speaking youth between the ages of 15 and 30, regardless of their origin, economic or social status, or family situation.
We pride ourselves on building an inclusive space where individual differences are recognized, valued, respected and appreciated, so that every participant can develop skills, climb new heights, and find the most appropriate path to success.
Serving Individuality
Our team is committed to offering personalized coaching, adapted to the needs of each person.
We believe that all young people have the capacity to reach their full potential and we wish to encourage them to engage in the career path that best suits them.
Employers who wish to welcome young people must commit to supporting them in their professional development.
Serving the French-Speaking Communities
The goal of DépasseToi is also to contribute to the sustainability of the French language within official language minority communities. This is why the program is aimed at youth and employers outside Quebec. Individuals who reside in Quebec, but who can justify belonging to a French-speaking community outside Quebec are invited to register to the program.
Bilingual Communications
Although most of the website is in French, you can contact our team in the official language of your choice.
